Introducing steam into the air increases humidity inside the sauna. Air with higher humidity conducts heat more efficiently and therefore feels much hotter than dry air. For this reason, steam baths are usually used with a maximum of 60ºC, when dry saunas can reach up to 90ºC.
To safely control the amount of humidity inside the sauna, Oceanic has developed a unique Saunarium control system. This system provides the user with 4 environments to choose from. Sauna, Caldarium, Saunarium and Tepidarium.
Sauna: Traditional dry bath with temperatures up to 100ºC. Water can be poured over the rocks to achieve small doses of humidity. It is a type of bathroom dating back over 2000 years.
Caldarium: Hot bath with temperatures up to 65º. The mini generator operates at 80% (30-40% humidity), providing a warm steam invigorating experience.
Saunarium: Tempered bath with temperatures up to 56ºC. The mini generator operates at 90% (40-50% humidity), providing a smoother experience to relieve tensions or make physical pains disappear.
Tepidarium: The mini steam generator works at 100%. The temperature is around 48º and the steam is continuous in the room (50-60% humidity).
No plumbing or drainage needed.
Stauna Coat is provided with all Saunarium cabins.
